Thankful Praise to the Lord

Good Morning…join with me this morning as we continue to explore the song and prayer of praise King David offered to the Lord in the thirtieth Psalm. David cried unto the Lord, “Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper” (Psalms 30:10). If God hears our prayers, if the great God who created the universe divided the waters and spoke light into the world, would give His ear to the petitions of our hearts, it would be the mercy of God. My friend, it is only the mercy of God that we are here this morning. I thank God this morning for His mercy; I thank God that He will give His Holy ear to hear the cries of my heart. David’s plea of mercy was for God to be his helper. To be his helper in pain, to be his helper in temptations, to be his helper during his sufferings and heartaches. Also, in the difficult times of life when we feel like we are growing faint in heart, God will be your helper. I thank God this morning for helping me through all my difficult times. David knew what the help of God would do, listen to his praise of God, “Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;” (v.11). God will turn the mourning of your heart into dancing at the mention of His name. My friend, keep trusting in the Lord, and get yourself a good pair of dancing shoes because your time is coming! The tears you have shed in prayer, the mourning of your heart will all turn to your favor. Jesus prayed in the garden until his sweat became as drops of blood, and now He is seated at the right hand of the Father! Father, I pray this morning that our readers will be encouraged in their faith and that they will soon feel the tides turning. Be Blessed in Jesus Name.
