THANK the Lord

Congratulations!! If you are reading this devotion, take a moment and THANK the Lord for blessing you to see another year!! “And the Lord said unto Moses, stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen” “Exodus 14:26). Once the children of Israel had crossed the Red Sea, once they had walked across on dry ground, once they had safely crossed over, God told Moses to once again stretch out his rod, and God destroyed all the enemies that sought after them. My friend, you are the Moses of your Red Sea (the crossing over between last year and this new year), and it is your duty to stretch out your rod over those things that held you captive last year. Stretch out your rod and ask God to close up all the hurts, all the pain, all the sin, all the disobedience, and all the struggles of last year. Do not bring them into a new year, do not carry old baggage into a new year. God has great and mighty things for you; walk in the obedience of this new year. “Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for He hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea” (Ex. 15:1). God will deliver you from that which will bring harm upon His children. Many folks do not believe it, but my friend, God, is still in control, and He is working through your obedience to deliver you into your future. Close up 2020 and walk in the Newness of 2021. Heavenly Father, we pray as we have crossed over to this new year that we would not wander in the wilderness but continue on the march to the promised land. Father, help us to be governed by the Leadership of He, the Holy Spirit of God. Be Blessed in Jesus Name!
