Sing Unto the Lord

Good morning; I want to encourage your spirit/heart this morning from God’s Holy Word. The psalmist said, “Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness” (Psalm 30:4). We can wake up this morning with a song on our lips because of who God is in our soul. I know we face difficult times; my heart is heavy for all those struggling this morning. But the psalmist continues with his praise, “For his anger endureth but a moment; in His favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” (v. 5). I know we are asking when will night be over, when will my weeping stop? My friend, just hold on; morning is coming, the weeping will be over, and we will experience the joy of the morning. Father, I pray that you will place a song in the hearts of our readers. I pray that on this day, Lord, they will experience JOY deep in their soul. The joy that this world cannot offer, I pray they feel you “putting it all back together” only in your love do we find the joy of our souls. Be Blessed in Jesus’ Name!

Listen for the Voice of God

Good morning, my friends; in a world with chaos in the streets, hearts are broken, family fallouts are taken place, government disorder is all on the news, sickness and death are all around us, there is unrest throughout our land. Everyone is looking for some type of peace in their lives. And, I have good news; I know where you can find peace for troubled times; the psalmist said, “I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for He will speak peace unto His people, and to His saints: but let them not turn again to folly” (Psalms 85:8). We must become listeners before we become doers. God is our only source of true peace in this world. We must listen to the voice of God to obey divine revelation. No matter how hard we try, we will not satisfy our conscience or remove our guilt; that type of inner peace only comes from hearing the divine voice of God. I encourage you this morning to stop and listen to the voice of God speaking to you, listen as the Spirit of God is directing your day and nurturing your spirit. “He that hath an ear; let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches” (Revelation 3:22). Heavenly Father, I pray that we, as your children, are sensitive to the Spirit of God this morning. As you are speaking peace into our souls for this day, I pray that we take the time to listen. I pray we stop talking, stop searching, and just listen to the Spirit of God. Be Blessed in Jesus Name!

Salt and Light

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own Salvation with fear and trembling” (Phil. 2:12). In this passage, the Apostle Paul is encouraging the Philippian believers to be led by the Spirit of God and work out their Salvation (sanctification) as the Spirit of God is leading them, based upon God’s Word. And, my friend, I encourage every Christian to focus on our relationship with God. We have the Word of God and the Spirit of God dwelling within us. “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure” (v.13). God is working through the Christian believer to accomplish His will on this earth. This morning I ask you, are you focusing on the “will of God”? Are you allowing God to work through you for “His will” and “Good pleasure”? Then Paul instructs the believers to “Do all things without murmurings and disputing” (v.14). It should be our greatest joy to know that the God of our Salvation is working through us to accomplish His will! The pleasure of serving and believing in God will be demonstrated in the manner in which we operate. “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world” (v.15). My friend, if you are a Christian this morning, God has called you to be the “light and salt of this earth”. Do not be surprised or allow the events of life to rob your joy of service to God or provoke us to bring a reproach against the church. Do not let the affairs of this life to dim the light of God in you. Christian friend, as we get too involved in temporal matters and do not handle them according to the “will of God,” and with the “light of God” which shines from within, we will become spotted with the world. Father, I pray that we will shine bright in a lost and dying world and allow Your will to be done through our lives. I pray that you will join with a local body of believers on this Lord’s Day. Be Blessed in Jesus Name

Walk with Jesus

This morning I know a lot is going on in this world we live in. It seems as if everyone is pointing the finger at each other; blaming one another started in the garden. And, sickness and death are all around us, heartache and trouble. My friend, the only stability you will find in this world is to walk with Jesus Christ; He changes not. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him” (Col. 2:6). During these difficult and uncertain times, I want to encourage you to make sure you walk with Jesus in your heart. As Christians, our focus is on the Kingdom of God, winning souls for Jesus, and pointing people to a Savior. This world and all that dwell in it will soon dissolve, but your walk-in Christ will last forever. “And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power” (v.10). Christian friend, understand this morning that Jesus is all you need in the Kingdom of God. satan has many distractions in this life, satan is trying to divert our attention from what is important and eternal. May I tell you what the most important factor in this whole matter is? That you are saved and don’t go to hell, Jesus loves you and died for your sins. And, He went away and prepared us a place (take time to shout)! This morning, Father, pray for our readers that you would convict them and draw them to yourself if they are not saved. I pray for my Christian friend that we walk strong with Jesus and find stability in His unchanging hand. Be Blessed in Jesus Name.
